Proxy Session Isolation: Cookies, Locale and Browser State

An IP address and a cookie jar represent different kinds of state. Keep each collection task's locale and browser context explicit.

Proxy session isolation starts by recognizing that an IP address, a cookie jar and a browser context are different resources. Keeping the same exit IP does not preserve a login, language preference or shopping cart. Replacing the IP does not automatically clear those values either. Confusing these layers makes regional comparisons and repeated collection jobs difficult to reproduce.

KAIROXO's sticky and rotating access options address the network route. Your application must still manage its own cookies, locale, storage and task lifecycle. This article explains that boundary without promising a provider-managed browser identity or a universal session duration.

Model three independent kinds of state

Describe the network profile, HTTP session and browser context separately. The network profile identifies the gateway and the routing behavior selected for the job. An HTTP session may include cookies, default headers and connection pools. A browser context adds storage and browser-level settings such as locale and timezone.

Assign each resource an owner. A comparison task for one market should not accidentally borrow a cookie jar previously used for another market. A browser context may contain personal or account data, so an authenticated workflow needs explicit permission and controlled storage. Public-page collection should remain public instead of quietly adopting a developer's personal profile.

Pick a lifecycle that matches the question

A useful session boundary is the smallest group of requests that should share state. For a product observation, that may include a landing page that sets a market preference and the detail page that uses it. For another independent observation, start from the state declared by that job rather than whatever remains from the previous request.

The table is a design example, not a KAIROXO retention guarantee. A gateway session can expire, a website can invalidate a cookie, and a page can change its own locale. Verify the resulting representation instead of assuming that an unchanged identifier proves consistency.

Carry state intentionally between HTTP and browser tools

Browser automation libraries can expose cookies and storage state, but those exports do not mean every state type transfers to every client. Domain, path, secure flags and expiry affect cookie applicability. Local storage and session storage are not HTTP cookies. Copying a raw Cookie header loses important scope information and can send a value somewhere it does not belong.

Prefer library-supported state handling and narrowly scoped contexts. In an authorized test, verify which cookies reach a controlled origin and which are excluded from another origin. Treat a saved browser-state file as sensitive configuration; do not publish it in a content package or attach it to a bug report. Log a state profile identifier rather than cookie values.

Check the displayed market before comparing records

Language, currency and location are separate observations. A page in Vietnamese may show a different currency, and an English page may be localized for a specific country. Record the displayed values alongside the requested settings. If the page offers a region selector, the application may need a documented interaction before the data is comparable.

Keep the same product variant, delivery region and observation window when comparing two results. Otherwise a change in price or availability may be a context change rather than a market event. A successful request and a stable IP alone do not establish that the records are comparable. Unknown or conflicting context should be visible in the result.

Recover from expired state without hiding the transition

When the website resets state, do not keep replaying a stale cookie indefinitely. Stop or restart the authorized scenario according to the application policy, and record why a new session was created. Recheck locale and any required navigation steps after recovery. Limit retries so a state failure cannot become unbounded traffic.

Acceptance tests should include a fresh context, a restored context, an expired cookie and two parallel market tasks. Confirm that cookies do not cross the task boundary, and that shutdown removes temporary state where required. These tests measure your application design; they do not claim that a gateway can override a website's session rules.
